Looking Forward To A Fantastic Line-Up!
Meet our Speakers.
At Succeed From The Start, we stand firm in our belief that true motivation, and inspiration come from those who have been there before us - those who have walked the path they are now leading others down; not only walked it, but conquered it too! That's why our events are never just about listening, they are full of so much more. We offer you the opportunity not only to be inspired by those who speak, but also to experience their magic, as they bring practical application into the room. As attendees, you too, will have the chance to taste what's on offer and to learn and grow from it.
Angela Roth & Vicky Hugelier
Founders of Succeed From The Start
Angela Roth qualified as a Business & Management Consultant after graduating from Manchester University and employed those skills, both for the Greater Manchester Police Service, and later as an independent Business Pathologist.
She began her Entrepreneurial Journey by opening her first business while home-educating 2 of her 4 children. Training as a Coach as the children grew, she found herself being asked to speak about her various experiences, and in the Autumn of 2021, she met her now business partner, Vicky Hugelier, a vivacious Belgian Lady whilst they were both working as Public Speaking Coaches with the Professional Speakers' Academy.
Vicky Hugelier, also a Mum of 2, is a multi-talented and much sought after Trainer and Coach within the Belgian Government. After working with Angela, she recognised that with her own extensive experience in the Business world, and with Angela's Social Media & Business Training, they had the perfect opportunity to build their own successful Business Community. 'Succeed From The Start' is now thriving and both Angela & Vicky continue to be passionate about giving other Heart-led Coaches and Speakers the opportunity to bring their particular brand of Magic to the World through creating their own courses, and workshops, or delivering their content from the stage.
Angela & Vicky love to take the stage themselves and are both Award-winning Speakers in their own right. During this event, you will be hearing from them alongside the speakers they are introducing. They are always on the look out for new Heart-led Speakers to introduce, so if you believe you have a message to share, do have a chat with them during the weekend, and they will be happy to get to know you better.

Liz Folan
Dedicated Psychologist & Educator
Liz Folan is a passionate and dedicated positive psychologist, educator, and advocate for sobriety and well-being. With a strong focus on empowering workplaces and schools with her RISE Resilience programme and her one-to-one coaching and group support workshops, she harnesses the transformative power of character strengths to help her clients unlock their full potential.
With an international career in second-level education, and MSc in Positive Psychology and Well-Being, she firmly believes that every individual possesses the inner resources to enable them to overcome challenges and ultimately to flourish.
Drawing from the latest research in the field of positive psychology, she guides clients on a journey of self-discovery helping them to recognise their key character strengths and develop strategies to leverage them in all areas of their lives. It is her work in the area of habit change that truly sets her apart which is why she is so excited to be able to share her evidence based strategies and lived experiences at this wonderful event!
Having grappled with ‘grey area’ drinking to cope with the stress of being a mum in an unhealthy relationship, and the increasing demands of teaching, she realised that she had become stuck. It was less of a ‘rock bottom’ and more of a ‘death by a thousand cuts’ epiphany that led her to her sober tribe and to embarking on her MSc in positive psychology with the intention of helping as many people as she could with similar struggles. Thus ‘Strong AF’ the programme was born. Acknowledging the complexities of addiction and behaviour change, it adopts a holistic approach to empower clients to explore their relationship with alcohol and other unhelpful habits and guide them towards sustainable change and ultimately to flourish in all areas of their life. Liz hopes that by attending Liz’s ‘From Grey to Gold’ workshop you will discover what this can feel like for you.
